Well look I'm pretty new here, I don't quite know what I want out of this whole thing, but I do like the idea of the indie intenet and all, so I thought I'd give it a shot I guess. There's obviously not all that much here right now, but that's a problem to hopefully be fixed as I get inspired and so on and so on. I was inspired to actually get this off the ground thanks to Olive's Site, and I might be doing something similar to the photo gallery idea. That and media reviews, I guess. And maybe other stuff, I don't know. I geuss I should probably look around at what other people are doing here so that I can get a better idea of what works and what doesn't, learn the etiquite, etc. I dunno. If I plan to stick within the free limitations, that 1GB limit seems like quite the low ceiling. I dunno, we shall see how it goes! I'm sure it'll be great. Or forgettable.
There are a few things I want to put on here, so I guess I'll put them here? I want somewhere to host bird photos, somewhere to host book reviews, album reviews, game reviews, movie reivews, cool stuff I found on the side of the road reviews, and maybe some stuff on like my own personal art or whatever. That last one I am less concerned about, becuase I think that the 1GB storage limit is going to make things difficult, and I don't really have a something like Instagram that I post my personal stuff to other than, like, discord, but that doesn't really work here. Oh, and I want to have a guestbook, I think. That's a fun little idea, I like that. Might be a touch complicated given that it requires people to write stuff down and use that to update the site or whatever, but I'm sure there are tutorials and templates and whatever online for that.
Also, I want this place to look alright too, right? Like currently everything is a little... well it certainly looks like I started this at 12:30 on a weeknight without a plan, and it does come by that look honestly, I assure you, but I would prefer perhaps a touch of polish on here. That .css file looks like it could be useful, but I don't know what all it can do and what all is better done by per-page settings adjustments. I know that I do want my little discord avitar profile pic thing in the upper right corner with lines extending out from it across the margins, but I'll have to wait on that and see how doable it is. But that's the plan, I think. Otherwise stylewise I don't have much of a plan, but I guess we'll get there when we do.
